Description

It is a solution for cleaning and decontamination of wounds. It is effective against a broad spectrum of microorganisms including MRSA and bacterial biofilms, without interfering with the healing process. It eliminates microorganisms selectively thanks to a physical-chemical effect. Indicated for cleaning, irrigation plus moistening and decontamination of mechanical wounds such as skin lacerations, bites, cuts, scrapes and tear or crush wounds and post-operative wounds. Suitable also for chronic wounds such as bedsores, leg ulcers and thermal or chemical wounds such as 1st and 2nd-degree burns and burns of the integument. It can also be used for fistulas, abscesses and cellulitis.

Instructions for use

Wounds should always be washed and cleaned as much as possible. The use of impregnated dressings or bandages is advised. It should be used as often as necessary so that all deposits and tissues can be easily removed and the wound appears clean. This is a good precondition for natural wound healing and allows surgical debridement under optimal conditions of visibility and safety. Extensive cleaning of the entire body part adjacent to the wound is recommended to minimise the risk of spreading microorganisms in the wound. In case of large surface wounds or wounds that are also difficult to access, immersion of the entire body part for at least 15 minutes is recommended. The solution should be used undiluted.

Composition

Purified Water, 0.1 % Undecylenamidopropyl betaine, 0.1 % Polyhexanide.
