Description

YOGI TEA® Matcha Lemon Green Tea is a traditional ayurvedic infusion with matcha green tea, lemongrass, and lemon plants to bring a subtle message of "Overcoming the day with freshness and harmony". YOGI TEA® Matcha Lemon Green Tea combines traditional ayurvedic meditation with green tea preparation using ancient Buddhist techniques. The young and delicate Tencha buds, completely covered and protected from the sun for weeks before harvest, giving them their delicate, sparkling, and sweet taste, are mixed with the refined Matcha that accompanies traditional Buddhist monks during their long meditations. The fruity lemon balm and sparkling lime complete this wonderful blend, which provides a truly amazing taste experience.

Pharmaceutical Advice

Matcha tea is a variety of green tea originally from China and widely used in Japan. Instead of infusing the tea leaves to drink, the whole leaves are used in powder form. This consumption method makes it possible to obtain more health benefits than the traditional method.

Because of the way they are cultivated, matcha tea leaves contain a high concentration of chlorophyll and amino acids and do not have the typical bitter taste of ordinary green tea.

The most noted components in matcha tea include EGCG (epigallocatechin gallate), which has a high antioxidant capacity, L-theanine (which has a relaxing effect) and caffeine (which has a stimulating effect). Each person will be more or less sensitive to these substances and will need to adjust their tea consumption accordingly.
