Pharmaceutical Advice

Exposing thermometers to extreme temperatures or excessive humidity is not advisable, as this may affect measurement accuracy. Leaving the thermometer at room temperature for at least half an hour before use is recommended.

It takes about half a minute, not 10 seconds. The acoustic signal is almost inaudible. The price is good, they would sell the same without lying brazenly at the time of measurement.
