Description

Melanin is the biopolymer responsible for skin and hair colour and is produced by melanocytes, cells located at the base of the epidermis and in the hair follicle. Anti-blemish cosmetics often contain exfoliating and depigmenting ingredients that help to soften the pigmentation and help to even out skin tone.
