For photoprotection to be effective, remember to apply it in sufficient quantity, spread it evenly and reapply it every 2 hours, after bathing or sweating. In addition to the use of topical photoprotection, use complementary protection methods: accessories such as brimmed hats, sunglasses and appropriate clothing. Reinforce skin care with oral photoprotection (in the form of a food supplement) along with a balanced diet. Avoid exposure during the central hours of the day (between 12:00 and 16:00). Periodically check the appearance or changes in moles (shape, size or colour). If you take photosensitising medication or have a skin condition, it is especially important to follow these recommendations. In any case, if after sun exposure you develop blisters, fever or headache, consult your doctor.
