Spirulina (Arthrospira platensis and Arthrospira maxima) is a blue-green microalgae with interesting skincare properties and can be used as a cosmetic ingredient. It provides antioxidants such as vitamin E, a key ingredient in anti-ageing cosmetics, which neutralises free radicals and helps prevent skin ageing.
