Organic texturised soybean is a vegetable food that when cooked has a texture similar to minced meat. Organic food. Fine textured soybeans. Non GMO. Non irradiated. Suitable for vegetarians and vegans. Organic textured soy protein is a dehydrated product obtained from soy flour. Being of vegetable origin, soy protein can be used as a meat substitute. It is a product low in saturated fat and salt, free of sugars, a great source of fibre and very rich in protein and quality carbohydrates. It contains an appreciable amount of isoflavones with antioxidant function in the organism.

The taste and smell of organic textured soy protein is practically neutral, so it needs a good seasoning to be tasty. Hydrating the textured soybeans before cooking is quick and easy. Place the soybeans in a deep bowl and cover with twice the volume of water. In 15 minutes it is ready to be used. We can use hot water to speed up the process and save time. A good alternative to water is to hydrate the soybeans in broth so that they take on its flavour and require less seasoning. The soybeans absorb the liquid and increase three times their size. It can be stored in the refrigerator, in a hermetically sealed container, for three or four days.
