Description

Biotrade Cosmeceuticals Acnaut Active Lotion 60ml is an active lotion indicated for the care of acne-prone skin and breakouts. Suitable for application on sensitive areas such as the face, back, and décolletage. It can be used on oily skin, as it is more vulnerable to bacterial infections.

With a patented PASC formula that helps balance sebum production and prevent folliculitis. Enriched with Damask rose oil and niacinamide. Dermatologically tested.

Instructions for use

The lotion is applied with a well-soaked cotton pad twice a day on previously washed skin in the affected area. It is applied until the skin is calm and the outbreaks have completely cleared. For single outbreaks, the lotion is applied with a cotton pad 2-3 times a day only on the affected area. If you use moisturizer or makeup, wait at least 10-15 minutes after applying the active lotion. To prevent ingrown hairs, the lotion is applied immediately after shaving on the shaved area and the process is repeated a few hours later, as well as on the following days.

Pharmaceutical Advice

Niacinamide is a form of vitamin B3 and is water-soluble. It penetrates the skin through the stratum corneum and has multiple functions: it helps maintain the barrier function, prevents skin dehydration, promotes collagen and elastin synthesis, counteracts the formation of wrinkles and promotes skin elasticity.

It is antioxidant and anti-inflammatory and is a protective shield against free radicals that damage the skin, either by solar radiation or pollution in urban environments. It also has a sebum-regulating effect (very interesting for acne-prone skin) and a depigmenting effect (useful for skin with hyperpigmentation). Even skin with rosacea can benefit, provided the product is correctly formulated and suitable for sensitive skin. It can also be found in hair products.

When choosing the most suitable cosmetic, we must assess the concentration of niacinamide and the other ingredients in the formulation. The overall effect depends on the finished product as a whole.
