Cica-Care is a soft, self-adhesive silicone dressing that is semi-occlusive, reinforced by a support membrane. It is indicated for:
- The treatment of recent or pre-existing hypertrophic and keloid scars.
- The prevention in closed wounds, such as sutured ones.
It is important to pay attention to possible erythemas on the skin covered by the dressing, which could be caused by:
- Inadequate hygiene conditions.
- Too compressive an application.
In case of erythema, it is recommended to:
- Reduce the usage time to 12 hours, followed by 12 hours of rest.
- If the problem persists, discontinue use and consult a doctor.
It is recommended to apply Cica-Care only after the removal of sutures in sutured surgical wounds. Additionally, it is contraindicated in patients with:
- Pathologies that could compromise its proper application.
- Dermatological issues that make the skin more fragile and susceptible to irritation.
