Aloe vera is well known for its topical use. This is because of its mucilage (gel) and high-water content that provide a barrier against skin dehydration. It can be found in products for oily and sensitive skin, sun care products such as aftersun lotions and also in toothpastes.
Cosmetic products containing its extract have moisturising, soothing and healing properties. They also provide a cooling sensation on irritated skin. It is an ingredient suitable for all skin types.
Pleasant fragrance, I think that's the only positive point. The description says "gel-cream", but it's really just a cream. I was hoping for a light, non-greasy, non-sticky texture for the summer, and it's a complete failure! As a result, I don't use it much, and it's difficult to judge its effectiveness in these conditions. All I can say is that, for the moment, it acts like other creams of the same type, neither better nor worse. So it's a big disappointment, even though it's a brand I generally like.
