Description

An eschar is the result of an erosion of the skin due to pressure, i.e. a wound. When these occur in elbows and ankles, treatment can be complicated.

Codipie® has created the elbow and ankle protector which, due to its anatomical shape, allows a good adaptation to pressure points. This product consists of 3 thick layers of wadding that provide great comfort and cushioning, and a fabric that covers them. Seamless, breathable and hypoallergenic, getting:

  • Protect the skin, as it is kept free from irritation.
  • Perfect adaptation by anatomical shape and adaptable Velcro to adapt without squeezing the support points.

Instructions for use

Apply on elbow or ankle*This product can be reused up to 15 times and washed at a temperature of 40-60°C.

Pharmaceutical Advice

Skin ulcers caused by direct pressure, friction or shearing are common in bedridden people. To prevent these alterations:

  • - Keep skin dry and clean.
  • - When washing the bedridden person, use neutral soaps without aggressive products for the skin, with warm water without rubbing. Dry after washing.
  • - Apply non-abrasive moisturizing creams to the areas without wounds until they are completely absorbed.

And don't forget to use Codipie® on elbows and ankles.
