They are mattress pads that provide protection for the bedding and seat of people suffering from incontinence. It is initially a calendered absorbent cushion, i.e. flattened under two cylinders, to maintain its qualities in a thinner and more comfortable format for the patient.
Its upper side is made of defibrated cellulose which captures the liquids and distributes them over the entire surface of the mattress pad to ensure optimum comfort for the patient. Its absorption level corresponds to mild to moderate incontinence.
Its inner side, on the other hand, is made of a non-woven fabric that has the characteristic of being totally waterproof and non-slip. In this way, the liquids absorbed by the upper layer do not run the risk of escaping and staining the sheets or the seat cover.
Also non-slip, it remains stable despite the user's body movements during sleep.
With a reduced surface, these Confiance mattresses only cover the pelvis area and can therefore be easily replaced without moving the patient from his bed. A simple manipulation is all it takes.
For single use only, these absorbent sheets should be replaced as soon as traces of moisture are felt.
