It has nothing to do with the other presentations (except for an English one, I think) The big difference is due to two facts: 1. That the bacteria are alive and not dormant (as usually come in all presentations) and with food. 2. The capsules (pearls) have a coating, which does not dissolve in the stomach, where its acids would destroy much of the bacteria. Needless to say, its effectiveness is far superior to other traditional preparations. It has no side effects. Highly recommended in cases of "irritable bowel" (or irritable colon). It has been tested in a clinical trial (with excellent results) in a Social Security hospital in Madrid, where they managed to attenuate the negative effects of chemotherapy on the digestive system. It is essential when you are taking antibiotics or strong medicines, or you know that you are going to take them beforehand. However, always consult your GP...
