Dietmed Agiflex Collagen Type 2 300g is a food supplement designed to care for, maintain and improve joint health. It provides the body with the nutrients necessary for proper lubrication of the joints, restoring the viscoelastic properties of the synovial fluid and cartilage, which helps maintain flexibility and regenerate cartilage, strengthening its structure.
It is recommended to take one dispenser (10 g) a day, dissolved in half a glass of water, tea or fruit juice. It is important to keep it in a cool, dry place, and it is not recommended during pregnancy and lactation. Its use should be avoided in asthmatics and in patients with a history of prostate cancer.
Some minimal adverse effects described for collagen include gastrointestinal discomfort, feeling of fullness, unpleasant taste and headache. Chondroitin sulfate is safe for most people, although in some cases it may cause stomach upset and nausea. Other adverse effects such as diarrhea, constipation, swelling of eyelids and legs, hair loss, and irregular heartbeat have been reported.
Caution is important when combining chondroitin with warfarin (anticoagulant), as it increases the risk of bleeding. Food supplements should not replace a healthy balanced diet and should be kept out of the reach of children.
Collagen is the most abundant protein in the body. It provides muscles, tendons, ligaments, skin, bones and cartilage with firmness and elasticity.
From the age of 30, the body starts to produce less collagen. To ensure the upkeep of this protein, we must incorporate it through our diet or as a food supplement (for example, if we exercise vigorously). It will help to maintain healthy skin and joints.
Not recommended when following a low-protein diet.
