Eco-Salim was born from the idea of producing and distributing quality Galician organic products, maintaining the tradition above all when growing, harvesting and handling the product, to get a very high quality product, with a very distinctive and delicious taste perfect to have in any pantry and put on every table. In this case it is ground chia seeds from organic farming, which will bring a delicious flavour to any dish, providing vitamins and minerals such as calcium and magnesium; fiber, protein and omega 3.
• Take the seeds whole or dissolved in water, juice or whatever drink and/or food you are going to consume.
• Let them absorb water and acquire a gel consistency for 1 to 2 hours (or a minimum of 15 minutes).
• Do not boil the seeds (whether whole or ground) as they will lose most of their properties.
Ground chia seed* (Salvia hispanica).
(*) Ingredients from organic farming.
Chia seeds are a food that contain several interesting nutrients and are easy to integrate into your regular diet.
They are a plant-based source of omega-3 fatty acids (alpha-linolenic acid) and also stand out for their protein and fibre content. They provide B vitamins, minerals (such as calcium, potassium, magnesium, iron, copper and zinc) and other antioxidants. Therefore, they are a good source of nutrients and micronutrients. They are naturally gluten-free.
The fibre provided by chia seeds stays in the gut undigested, allowing the good bacteria in the gut to feed from it and helping to improve overall intestinal health.
They have a very neutral taste, so they do not change the flavour of the food they are served with and can be included in both savoury and sweet dishes. Their texture, when in contact with liquids, becomes gelatinous and thick and helps to satiate the stomach without interfering with digestion. This substance also hydrates and lubricates the intestinal tract, facilitating defecation.
They should be consumed according to the recommendations on the manufacturer’s label and in moderate quantity.
