Description

Eucerin UreaRepair Intensive Moisturizing Lotion 10% Urea 400ml is a repairing cream that helps treat dryness, flaking skin, itching, and roughness of the skin.

Made with Urea, Ceramide, and other natural moisturizing factors (NMF) that help maintain skin hydration and restore the natural protective barrier.

Indicated for moisturizing the skin, especially in areas prone to dryness such as elbows, heels, and knees.

Suitable for all skin types, even the most sensitive and/or prone to xerosis, psoriasis, and keratosis pilaris (chicken skin).

Fragrance-free and dye-free.

Instructions for use

Gently massage the 10% moisturizing lotion into your skin until fully absorbed. Apply it as often as needed.

Pharmaceutical Advice

Urea is a very versatile ingredient in cosmetics. Depending on its concentration, it can serve different needs. In concentrations of up to 20%, it works as a deep moisturiser for cosmetic use and helps to treat flaky skin. In higher concentrations it works as an exfoliant. Its moisturising and penetrating power offers good results to treat severely dry skin, nails, scalp, calluses and other conditions, such as psoriasis or eczema.

I bought this cream on a doctor's recommendation. In the spring, due to my pollen allergy, I get a rash that I treat with corticosteroids. The corticosteroids reduce the itchiness of the rash, but make the skin dry, itchy due to dryness, sensitive to rubbing and rough to the touch. My doctor told me to use 10% urea to treat these areas, and so far it's working pretty well for me. Obviously it won't get rid of the rash (which will only go away when the pollen subsides), but it helps keep my skin in better condition until then.
