Additionally, it includes fish oil and uses modified carbohydrates, such as starch and isomaltulose. It is important to highlight that this product is clinically free of lactose and gluten.
This product is specifically indicated for the nutritional management of patients who are experiencing or are at risk of malnutrition, being particularly suitable for those with:
- Chronic kidney disease
- Non-catabolic forms of acute kidney injury
The use of Fresubin Renal should be determined by a healthcare professional, who will adjust the amount according to the specific needs of the patient. As a supplement, a consumption of:
- 2 to 3 bottles per day (800-1200 kcal)
- If used as the sole source of nutrition, a minimum of 5 bottles per day (2000 kcal)
