It has a peculiar taste (not at all similar to common salt), it is more bitter and intense (it will be because of the vegetable additives it contains). NEVER add it to stews while they are being prepared... always add it to dishes already made and served at the table. Do not put too much, since the flavor is strong with little that is thrown.
