Description

Indas Maternity Cotton Maternity Pads 20 pcs are pads with highabsorption capacity, suitable for postpartum.

They have a central core of superabsorbent cotton and a cotton mesh that prevents the detachment of fibers. The natural fibers of its composition do not irritate the skin and its outer mesh does not stick to wounds. They are the perfect product to take care of the skin to ensure maximum hygiene.

It does not contain edges, which allows it to adapt very well to the body, without causing chafing. It also effectively eliminates bad odour.

Instructions for use

  • Remove the wrapper from the compress. Place it in the panty, placing it in the central part.
  • Once used, dispose of it in a waste bin.

Pharmaceutical Advice

After a vaginal or caesarean birth, secretions known as lochia (a mixture of vaginal fluids made of blood and placental tissue that are secreted during the 4 to 6 weeks after birth) are produced. If the lochia is foul-smelling or causes fever or pain, it is important to see a gynaecologist.

These secretions vary day to day. Postpartum pads should also adapt to every specific moment's needs. During the first few days after childbirth, secretions are more abundant and pads that cover a larger area and have a greater absorption capacity are recommended. They should be changed as often as necessary. Afterwards, the size of the pad can be adjusted according to changes in secretions.

The most important aspect to take into account is the material of the pad: for the first few days, 100% pure cotton is highly recommended (especially the area in contact with the skin). This ensures better healing of the vulvar area and less irritation (especially if there are stitches). It is the most hypoallergenic and softest material. Subsequently, pads that combine other materials can be used, such as cellulose, with wings for better support, etc. You can choose the most comfortable one for you at any given moment.

Lately the padding of the pads is much thinner, half the usual content.

Normal pads give me dermatitis in the area and tampons are not an option for me, I was recommended these pads a few years ago and since I tried them for the first time I do not use anything else.

They fray and pieces of cotton come off. For postpartum should be used better compresses that are cellulose of the same brand Maternity cellulose compresses are much more advisable than cotton ones

Calmed my child's erythema, since then we put it on systematically... the smell is not strong, it's pleasant. The tube empties quite well thanks to the cap which allows you to press hard to get the end of the cream out...
