Fruit muesli is a carefully designed mixture of whole grains (such as oats, wheat, cabbage or corn) to which dehydrated fruits and/or nuts are added, which can be eaten with milk, yoghurt or honey. It is a food rich in essential nutrients such as carbohydrates, proteins, vitamins and lipids. By using wholegrain cereals the body assimilates sugars slowly, helping us to maintain energy throughout the morning. Its high fibre content helps to maintain a good intestinal transit, as well as to increase satiety and reduce appetite. It is also a good food in terms of protein intake, as well as for its high vitamin value, as it is a source of B vitamins.
