Description

It is a carefully designed mixture of whole grains such as oats, wheat, cabada, and to which are added tropical dried fruits such as papaya, coconut, mango, banana and pineapple, and also dried fruits such as raisins. The basis of a correct diet are whole grains along with fruits and vegetables. If we add to this that breakfast should be one of the main meals of the day, muesli is one of the best options, because in the main meal we would give the body the main nutrients it needs. It is a food rich in essential nutrients such as carbohydrates, proteins, vitamins and lipids. By using whole grains the body assimilates sugars slowly, helping to maintain energy throughout the morning. Its high fibre content helps to maintain a good intestinal transit, as well as to increase satiety and reduce appetite. It is also a good food in terms of protein intake, as well as for its high vitamin value, as it is a source of B vitamins. It can be taken with milk, yogurt, honey or boiled if preferred.

Pharmaceutical Advice

Coconut has several parts that can be consumed and used in dietary supplements. On the one hand, the best-known part is the pulp, from which the oil is extracted. It is rich in carbohydrates, proteins and lipids (notably lauric and oleic acid).

The oil extracted from the pulp is solid at room temperature and contains triglycerides with short and medium chain fatty acids. It should be consumed in moderation. On the other hand, the water or milk from the green coconut fruit is very hydrating and refreshing for the body.

It is important to take the dietary supplement according to the dosage recommended by the manufacturer and to follow a varied and balanced diet. People with cardiovascular and/or chronic diseases should consult a healthcare professional.
