Description

Intimate hygiene is always important, but even more so after delivery, especially if you have suffered wounds that require stitches to heal. Every mom should not only take care of her little one, but also herself and her delicate intimate area.

Acofar presents the Karinas Plus Comfort obstetric pads, indicated for the postpartum stage, when a woman may experience slight urine loss.

Thanks to their cotton-based fabric, they are comfortable, soft and respectful of the skin of the intimate area.

Get your urine leaks under control!

Instructions for use

Place the compress on the underwear, placing the sticky side downwards. Change pads as often as necessary.

Pharmaceutical Advice

After a vaginal or caesarean birth, secretions known as lochia (a mixture of vaginal fluids made of blood and placental tissue that are secreted during the 4 to 6 weeks after birth) are produced. If the lochia is foul-smelling or causes fever or pain, it is important to see a gynaecologist.

These secretions vary day to day. Postpartum pads should also adapt to every specific moment's needs. During the first few days after childbirth, secretions are more abundant and pads that cover a larger area and have a greater absorption capacity are recommended. They should be changed as often as necessary. Afterwards, the size of the pad can be adjusted according to changes in secretions.

The most important aspect to take into account is the material of the pad: for the first few days, 100% pure cotton is highly recommended (especially the area in contact with the skin). This ensures better healing of the vulvar area and less irritation (especially if there are stitches). It is the most hypoallergenic and softest material. Subsequently, pads that combine other materials can be used, such as cellulose, with wings for better support, etc. You can choose the most comfortable one for you at any given moment.

I haven't used them yet, but they've been recommended and I think they'll work for me.
