Description

There are times in your life when you need special products, and one of them is undoubtedly motherhood, which is why Karina's Ophthalmic Compresses are ideal for you.

Specially designed for the first few days after delivery, when leakage is more abundant, and above all, to avoid unnecessary complications with wounds caused by episiotomies or other types of interventions, these 100% cotton pads help to prevent the risks of itching, irritation, allergies and/or infections. Designed to offer maximum comfort, its soft and spongy texture, with a 100% absorbent core, will make you feel very confident. Its top layer of specially interwoven cotton nonwoven fabric prevents the fibres from sticking to the skin and not passing through.

The most sensitive skins will be completely protected, and you will feel very well cared for.

Instructions for use

Place the compress on the panty, placing the sticky side down. Change pads as often as necessary;

Composition

Cotton, cotton non-woven, waterproof plastic sheeting (inside the compress, not in contact with the skin), glue (fixative adhesive), siliconized paper.

Pharmaceutical Advice

After a vaginal or caesarean birth, secretions known as lochia (a mixture of vaginal fluids made of blood and placental tissue that are secreted during the 4 to 6 weeks after birth) are produced. If the lochia is foul-smelling or causes fever or pain, it is important to see a gynaecologist.

These secretions vary day to day. Postpartum pads should also adapt to every specific moment's needs. During the first few days after childbirth, secretions are more abundant and pads that cover a larger area and have a greater absorption capacity are recommended. They should be changed as often as necessary. Afterwards, the size of the pad can be adjusted according to changes in secretions.

The most important aspect to take into account is the material of the pad: for the first few days, 100% pure cotton is highly recommended (especially the area in contact with the skin). This ensures better healing of the vulvar area and less irritation (especially if there are stitches). It is the most hypoallergenic and softest material. Subsequently, pads that combine other materials can be used, such as cellulose, with wings for better support, etc. You can choose the most comfortable one for you at any given moment.
