Lephagel is a gel formulated for a mechanical and gentle cleansing of sensitive and/or atopic, irritated and/or injured eyelids. A hypoallergenic sterile product for daily eyelid and eyelash hygiene. It is recommended by ophthalmologists as a complement to the following treatments:

  • - Anterior and posterior blepharitis (inflammation of the eyelids)
  • - Dry eye associated with a disorder of the Meibomian gland (gland inside the eyelids)
  • - Injury to the eye and eyelids due to acne rosacea (redness of the skin of the face)
  • - Injury to the eye and eyelid due to seborrheic dermatitis (redness and scaling of the skin of the face).

A facial hygiene product used when meticulous cleaning of the eyelids and eyelash roots is necessary.

Its formula helps the adherence of the product to the eyelids, respects its natural hydration, refreshes, softens and soothes the eyelids, preserves the pH of the skin and leaves no residue, is not greasy or sticky. The treatment you need.

Instructions for use

Apply the gel twice a day, morning and evening, or as many times as you need to clean the eyelids of your eyes.

Composition

Aqua, poloxamer 188, PEG-90, carbomer, sodium hydroxide.

Pharmaceutical Advice

Seborrhoeic dermatitis is a skin condition that usually affects the scalp. It can also affect other oily areas of the body such as the face, sides of the nose, eyebrows, ears, eyelids and chest.

Persistent scaling with itching or discomfort usually occurs. Its formation is related to excessive activity of the sebaceous glands and alteration of the skin microbiome (overgrowth of fungi of the genus Malassezia). It can be aggravated by the effect of some medications.

Certain factors can trigger the appearance of seborrhoeic dermatitis, so it is advisable to keep them at bay or take preventive measures: stress, extreme temperatures, oily skin or skin with underlying acne, excessive alcohol consumption or obesity.

To improve seborrhoeic dermatitis, it is recommended to use non-irritating face soaps and/or shampoos with specific ingredients to counteract the problem (sebum-regulating, soothing, keratolytic, antipruritic, plant extracts with antiseptic and antifungal properties, etc.). In the case of shampoos, I recommend alternating their use with another very gentle and balancing cleanser. In a facial routine, as well as a specific facial cleanser, complete the treatment with an emulsion that includes some of the ingredients described above, and oil-free sunscreen. I recommend avoiding soaps that are too astringent, as well as cosmetics with too much of an oily phase, so as not to increase the sebum in the skin.
