MUSA ÍNTIMA is a gel for the hygiene of the intimate area, especially designed for women of childbearing age and during pregnancy. Contains: Aloe Vera: with moisturizing, soothing, regenerative and antiseptic properties. Lactic acid: ensures physiological pH. Calendula: antiseptic and soothing properties. In addition, MUSA INTIMA protects and respects the natural defenses and flora of the intimate area and does not alter the intimate pH. The intimate area is a very delicate area, which requires daily care and the use of approved products that have been designed and formulated specifically for application in this area. The use of products with perfume or aggressive pH can affect the microbiota of the intimate area, thus favoring infections, itching and odor. During pregnancy, vaginal secretions tend to increase (the flora of the intimate area decomposes secretions giving rise to characteristic odors), so it is crucial to maximize hygiene in the intimate area during this period. The pH of the intimate area varies depending on the woman's stage of life: during childhood, the skin is very thin and the pH is neutral (7), and as puberty and sexual maturity are reached, physiological changes occur that alter the characteristics of the area. During pregnancy, increased estrogen levels thicken the mucosa, which promotes glycogen deposition, its metabolization by bacilli and acidification of the intimate pH (3.5 - 4.5). For the care of the intimate area, it is advisable to wash with water and a hygiene gel that is safe for the area, free of perfumes or colorants. Washing should be carried out exclusively in the intimate area, covering the vulva, labia majora, labia minora and clitoris and avoiding the inside of the vagina. The use of tight underwear that prevents perspiration, the use of sponges and internal washing of the vagina are not recommended.8
