Splint immobilizing the distal interphalangeal joint in slight hyperextension, releasing the proximal, the material, injected polypropylene, can be shaped with hot water at 60 °. Includes fixation tape. Indicated for painful processes by direct trauma to the distal phalanx of the fingers and pulling the extensor at its insertion in the dorsal aspect of the distal phalanx.
