Green anise has carminative, antispasmodic, sedative, expectorant, anti-inflammatory and antitussive properties. Already in the oral cavity, chewing a few seeds prevents halitosis. In the stomach, its anti-inflammatory and carminative properties relieve gastritis and aerophagia, being the anise a common plant in remedies against dyspepsia. Stimulates the production of juices involved in digestion, starting with saliva itself, and so the properties of green anise should be added to that of stimulating appetite.
