A 40% urea-based ointment, Onyster weakens the pathological bonds (due to the fungus) that ensure the adhesion of the nail to the nail bed. This weakening allows a selective detachment of the pathological part of the nail, facilitating its cutting, and therefore its removal, for the subsequent antifungal treatment. It also provides a set of occlusive dressings to assist in the treatment.
