The sun has numerous benefits for our hair. It promotes calcium absorption and helps activate blood circulation to the scalp, which results in faster hair growth. To slow down the deterioration of the hair fibre, it is important to use sunscreen that acts as a barrier and helps block most of the radiation. As a brief guide, if your hair is thick, oil-based products are best, while spray or mist-based products are recommended for fine hair. Cream sunscreens are recommended for medium and/or normal hair. Remember to apply sunscreen every 2 hours and avoid sun exposure in the middle of the day (from noon to 16:00).
