Maple syrup is a natural sweetener obtained from the sap of the maple tree, whose production is concentrated almost exclusively in northeastern North America, Canada being the world's largest producer. This syrup is made from the sap of Quebec maple trees. It contains a high level of calcium, zinc, manganese and iron due to its collection system. Its origin dates back to the Native Americans, before the arrival of the European settlers, who already knew how to take advantage of the sweet and nutritious juice of the maple tree, endemic to the continent, which in certain varieties and in areas with colder winters offers a sap rich in sugars. It is packaged in a glass bottle with a plastic cap.
