Lavender essential oil (Lavandula angustifolia) is known for its calming and anti-stress properties. It brings well-being, soothes, promotes relaxation and sleep. It also combats the itching of insect bites and small wounds.
It can be used in environmental diffusion, in direct application of a few drops on the skin and inhaling, in cutaneous massage mixed with a vegetable oil or orally on a neutral support (teaspoon of honey or a sugar cube), always respecting strictly the dosage indicated by the manufacturer.
Lavender essential oil is not indicated during pregnancy, breastfeeding, for children under 6 years old, for people hypersensitive to essential oils, for people allergic to its composition, with asthma, with a history of epilepsy or seizures, or for people with heart problems such as hypertension or arrhythmias. Essential oils cannot replace medical treatment. If in doubt, consult a health specialist.
