My toenails are quite thick so I have to soak them in hot water for 1 hour. After that time the lime works well. Without soaking, I don't think it works that well. But I still think it's a huge breakthrough. I'm glad I used them twice. Thanks for the utensil. I recommend it in spite of everything. It makes cutting much easier.
