Description

As a reference in medical compression, Sigvaris Diaphane compression stockings combine therapeutic effectiveness, comfort, aesthetics, and durability. They are aimed at the refined woman who seeks to care for herself while remaining beautiful and elegant, and who appreciates timeless products that are little affected by rapid changes in trends. CHARACTERISTICS They offer optimal comfort and a wide range of models and colours to be worn throughout the year. Sigvaris Diaphane compression stockings are the benchmark in compression stockings; the microfibre is transparent, soft, comfortable, and very elegant. It is a quality product that will satisfy you. INDICATION Wearing class 2 compression stockings is recommended for moderate venous insufficiency: • Established varicose veins (with or without functional disorders) • Reversible oedema • Prevention of thrombosis • Post-surgical period in phlebology. Contraindications The absolute contraindications for wearing compression stockings are: • Obliterating arterial disease of the lower limbs (PAD) with systolic pressure index (SPI) < 0.6; • Advanced diabetic microangiopathy (for a compression > 30 mmHg); • Phlegmasia cerulea dolens (painful blue phlebitis with arterial compression); • Septic thrombosis. Regular reevaluation of the benefit/risk ratio is necessary in cases of: • PAD with SPI between 0.6 and 0.9; • Advanced peripheral neuropathy; • Weeping dermatitis or eczema; • Intolerance to the fibres used (allergy to one of the components). Precautions for use Do not apply the compression stockings directly to damaged skin. If in doubt, contact your doctor. Care instructions To maintain the effectiveness of the compression stockings, it is recommended to wash them daily. In fact, water allows the fibres to contract and thus regain their effective initial pressure. It is advisable to machine wash the compression stockings (separately during the first washes) with a detergent for delicate textiles and without fabric softener, between 30 °C and 40 °C. Then dry them away from sunlight and any heat source. You have the option to spin your compression stockings without twisting them! Do not use detergent products. Do not iron.
