Description

Verbena leaves contain a heteroside, verbenaloside. It also has cardiotonic heterosides, tannins, mucilages, saponins, a bitter heteroside, mineral salts and essential oil, rich in citral. Its essence is obtained from the leaves. Verbena is used as a relaxant, although if the dose is exceeded, it can cause vomiting. Verbena can also act as an antispasmodic and antipyretic, that is, as a remedy to reduce fever, as well as having the ability to relieve pain from bruises or wounds.

Instructions for use

- Infusion: Put 1 teaspoon of plant per cup. Add boiling water, let stand 5-10 minutes and filter.

- Decoction (root, stems): Pour the plant in boiling water, boil for 2-5 minutes, let stand 5-10 minutes and filter, in the proportion of 1 teaspoon per cup.
