Seawater is mainly characterized by its salinity, i.e. its content of dissolved salts. Although its salinity can vary according to latitude, its main characteristic is that its composition is constant. On average, seawater contains about 33 g of salts per liter.
INFORMATIONThe Quinton method: René Quinton, the famous French biologist of the early 20th century (1866-1925), was a passionate student of the properties of seawater. In his book "L'eau de mer, milieu organique", he studied the similarities between marine plasma (seawater) and blood plasma. PMH, Plasma Marin Hypertonique: PMH is made exclusively from total seawater. We have selected the Natura 2000 protected site of the Bréhat archipelago in Brittany to extract our seawater. PMH is obtained by : microfiltration down to 0.2 microns, - no high temperature treatment (>100°C) - no irradiation (in compliance with current legislation) according to René Quinton's principles.
