Description

Balsam is an essential oil obtained from copaiba resin. It is a tree that belongs to the Fabaceae family, native to the Amazon basin. It is found in countries such as Brazil, Colombia, Venezuela and Peru. By incision and distillation of the oleoresin, 10ml of essential oil is obtained from 400 grams of resin. It has therapeutic properties. It is known for its anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving properties. It is also a stimulant of venous circulation, healing and skin tonic. It is indicated for use in cases of arthritis, tendinitis, tears and contractures. Its scent is soft and woody. In case of mental exhaustion, it can be used for massages.
