Description

HEXAPORINE® restores the harmonious distribution of water in the body. CHARACTERISTICS The pomegranate, Punica granatum, has established the biorégulator CAE™ to ensure the reliable functioning of its water channels: aquaporins, to cope with periods of extreme dryness or intense humidity. This is homologous to the regulator used by animal cells for their hydration. The biorégulator CAE™ allows for the restoration of a harmonious distribution of water between the extracellular and intracellular environments. It stabilises buffer parameters: pH, cell volume, osmotic pressure... Mechanism of cellular hydration regulation In an adult human organism, water represents approximately two-thirds of its total weight. Consequently, cells are bathed in an extracellular fluid with an osmolarity that is more or less constant, directly depending on the amount of water in the extracellular environment. This extracellular osmolarity plays a crucial role in controlling intracellular osmolarity and therefore cell volume. It is widely accepted today that the cellular phenotype is closely modulated according to cell volume. Thus, cell swelling leads to an anabolic phenotype with significant protein synthesis activity, while cell shrinkage leads to a catabolic phenotype associated with increased degradation enzymatic activity. To avoid excessive alterations in cell volume, particularly dehydration of the intracellular compartment, the cell has developed a regulatory system that includes water transport across the cytoplasmic membrane. These essential movements of water for better distribution of water volume between cells within the same tissue are ensured by specific transmembrane channels. Water channels: Water from the interstitial fluid and circulation is distributed throughout all tissues and cells in the body via water channels, which are transmembrane proteins. The water channel is composed of a protein with six domains called aquaporin. Among the hormones that regulate its functioning, aldosterone plays a major role. However, other physiological substances can interfere with the functioning of the water channel. Estradiol, at certain concentrations, inhibits the expression of water channels, leading either to water retention or dehydration depending on the state of the channel (open or closed) at the time estradiol reaches the aquaporins. Water channels contribute to the distribution of water and glycerol in the body. Properties HEXAPORINE® is a composition based on total food extract from pomegranate, Punica granatum (CAE™), a fruit that retains a significant water content even at high temperatures. HEXAPORINE® acts to protect water channels from obstruction by other substances, both endogenous and exogenous, thereby facilitating the free passage of water. "In vitro", on cell cultures, HEXAPORINE® can counteract the effect of certain endogenous substances like estradiol that can decrease the expression of water channels, particularly during the ovulatory peak. HEXAPORINE® has the property of restoring aquaporin expression when it is altered by chronological aging. The role of aquaporins in the blood and in the functioning of erythrocytes is considerable, not only in maintaining cell structure but also at the vascular level, in regulating blood pressure. Water channels also play a role at both renal and intestinal levels. Indeed, some disorders in water transport manifest as disturbances in intestinal transit. Claims HEXAPORINE® is particularly recommended whenever a hydric imbalance has occurred, related to: - hormonal balance variations, - temperature fluctuations, - pressure variations: prolonged standing or sitting, air travel, - any situation causing a change in hydration: physical exertion, dietary changes, - chronological aging and accumulation of substances that disrupt aquaporin function, - nutritional disturbances: excess alcoholic beverages, salty and/or sugary foods.
