This Organic Black Rice is ideal for paella, rice casserole, soups, salads or to accompany any dish. It has a high content of anthocyanins (pigments that set the colour of many dark fruits and vegetables such as eggplants, berries, grapes, blueberries, among others) and antioxidants. Black rice bran contains large amounts of antioxidant anthocyanins. So it would be even more nutritious than brown, which is currently the most produced in the world and is much richer in nutrients than white rice by retaining the layers that cover it. Because white rice goes through various processes of milling and refining in which the layers are removed, so it loses protein, minerals and various nutrients. A spoonful of black rice bran provides more antioxidant anthocyanins than one of blueberries, but provides less sugar, fiber and vitamin E.
