CHARACTERISTICS
Mate, traditionally consumed in a gourd with a filter pipe, is a highly appreciated drink in several South American countries. Often enjoyed in a sociable manner following a very precise ritual, it is renowned for its revitalising properties. It contains mateine, a molecule similar to caffeine, as well as antioxidants. This mate is flavoured with mint leaves, lemongrass, and lemon peels, which soften its taste and make this infusion very refreshing. Thanks to its refreshing aroma, this drink is very pleasant all year round, especially during the summer months.
