The Thuasne finger flexor splint is used in the treatment of conditions occurring in the joint of this part of the body. The size is C, therefore, the length size is 57mm. This measurement is the area of the finger to be treated. As flexion is the capacity of movement, with this splint the finger can be bent approximately up to 180 degrees. It consists of a rigid material at three points to cover the finger and a wire that joins them.
The splint is adjustable through the spring of the wire. This action must be done very carefully to accommodate the flexible joints according to the need of the moment. In other words, the flexibility can be increased or decreased. With this property it is possible to gradually improve the flexion of the finger joint.
