In dietary supplements for perimenopause and menopause, it is often included as an ingredient to alleviate hot flashes and excessive sweat. It is also known for its emmenagogue properties (helps to regulate menstruation). It also contains polyphenols that provide anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects.
