Description

These raisins are dried fruits from the dehydration of white grapes of the sultana variety, seedless. A small fruit that, when dehydrated, takes on a golden colour. This grape variety, widely produced in Australia and Turkey, is appreciated in three ways: as a wine grape, as fresh food or for the production of raisins. Consumed in the latter format, such as the one offered by Int-Salim, they are a great accompaniment to cereals or drinks and have great benefits.

It is highly recommended by nutritionists for those who wish to reduce their calorie intake, and provides significant amounts of potassium, vitamins and minerals. It also contains selenium, a trace element that contributes to the oxygenation of cells against premature aging. These properties make sultanas very interesting to complement a vegan diet.

Consume daily, complementing foods such as yoghurt, smoothies or biscuits.

In the long term, it can lead to symptoms such as a constant lack of energy, fatigue, intestinal disorders and/or difficulty keeping body temperature under control. Lack of iron can be restored through a varied diet. If this is not enough, it can be mitigated through supervised supplementation. It is essential to follow the advice of a healthcare professional and always avoid taking an iron dietary supplement without checking if you are deficient in this mineral.

The body's iron requirements will change throughout the years. It is particularly important to regulate it during the years of menstruation, as well as in pregnant women and infants. Iron is also actively involved in development and growth and is therefore very important for newborn babies.
