Pilexil® anti oily dandruff shampoo 300ml is a shampoo that deeply cleanses the scalp, helping to leave it free of oily dandruff, which is formed when the skin of the head produces excess sebum.

What active ingredients does Pilexil® anti oily dandruff shampoo contain?Terpineol + willow extract, which have soothing properties that reduce itching and reduce flaking of the scalp; Salicylic acid, which has keratolytic properties; Climbazol, a powerful active ingredient that acts on dandruff, destroying itchy scalp.a powerful active ingredient that acts on dandruff, destroying cell membranes and the fungus responsible for the production of dandruff and Lipoamino acid sebum regulator, a molecule based on glycine that helps restore the cell wall, reducing the flaking present in oily dandruff.

Instructions for use

  • Shake before use.
  • Apply to wet hair and gently rub the scalp until a lather forms.
  • Rinse and repeat the operation leaving the product to act for a few minutes.
  • Finally rinse.

In the case of severe grease, proceed differently than if it is a slight grease. Follow the instructions of the product to proceed correctly.

Pharmaceutical Advice

Seborrhoeic dermatitis is a skin condition that usually affects the scalp. It can also affect other oily areas of the body such as the face, sides of the nose, eyebrows, ears, eyelids and chest.

Persistent scaling with itching or discomfort usually occurs. Its formation is related to excessive activity of the sebaceous glands and alteration of the skin microbiome (overgrowth of fungi of the genus Malassezia). It can be aggravated by the effect of some medications.

Certain factors can trigger the appearance of seborrhoeic dermatitis, so it is advisable to keep them at bay or take preventive measures: stress, extreme temperatures, oily skin or skin with underlying acne, excessive alcohol consumption or obesity.

To improve seborrhoeic dermatitis, it is recommended to use non-irritating face soaps and/or shampoos with specific ingredients to counteract the problem (sebum-regulating, soothing, keratolytic, antipruritic, plant extracts with antiseptic and antifungal properties, etc.). In the case of shampoos, I recommend alternating their use with another very gentle and balancing cleanser. In a facial routine, as well as a specific facial cleanser, complete the treatment with an emulsion that includes some of the ingredients described above, and oil-free sunscreen. I recommend avoiding soaps that are too astringent, as well as cosmetics with too much of an oily phase, so as not to increase the sebum in the skin.
